A new medication called Viagra comes in the form of a pill and contains the active ingredient, sildenafil.
The drug, made by a pharmaceutical company, was found to be safe and effective in clinical trials in humans.
It has been prescribed to millions of men suffering from erectile dysfunction.
“In 1998 Viagra was the number one drug in the world, with over 30 million prescriptions for ED in the US.” said Dr. Paul Henry.
“It is the world’s best-selling erectile dysfunction drug and has now been available to millions of men worldwide.”
The drug is available in three doses: 25mg, 50mg, and 100mg.
Viagra is the brand name for sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra. It works by increasing blood flow to the penis, helping men to get an erection.
“Sildenafil is the brand name for the pill that has been found to be effective for treating erectile dysfunction in patients,” Dr. Henry said.
The new medication is being sold over the counter in pharmacies across the US and Canada.
“We are working with a lot of pharmacies to get the drug on the market quickly and safely. We are looking into the possibility of selling Viagra on a generic basis to patients,” he said.
The Viagra pill is not currently approved by the FDA to treat erectile dysfunction. Viagra should only be prescribed for men who are sexually aroused.
It is not known if Viagra will be available to patients in the future.
The drug is also available in a generic form, sold in bulk at a reduced price.
“We are currently selling Viagra to a small number of customers, but there are other options available. For example, buying Viagra on a local pharmacy or a drugstore is not recommended because it may not be safe for all people.”
The drug has been available to the public since 1998.
